Founding members at Upper Kutz Barber & Style College
Xi Psi Xi Barber Fraternity Inc. was founded in Greenville, Mississippi, March 11, 2022. By Dr. James Preston, Jr. And Five Upper Kutz Barber & Style College Graduates (Lonnie Johnson (ΑΦΑ), James Hollins, Patrick Stewart, Malik Chaney, Taurus Caldwell), and one undergraduate (Nathan Moore, Jr.).
Their vision was to create an alternative to collegiate Greek for male barbers and cosmetologists that never had the opportunity to be part of a college fraternity because of their career path that they chose. By creating an occupational fraternity, they could teach and mentor their members in business entrepreneurship and for the betterment of their local communities through outreach programs and mentorship.
